Carraig Ban welcomes you to Ragnarok Rampage: Nod to the Norns!
Ragnarok Rampage will be held at Elks Page Park in Dixon, IL. Carraig Ban will welcome all for a weekend of wondrous activities. We follow all Kingdom Requirements for health and safety.
Ragnarok Rampage is an annual SCA event hosted by the Barony of Carraig Ban. It has been running since 2005, and is usually held in Dixon, IL. Usually themed on Viking and Norse culture, the event almost always includes armored fighting, as well as the competitions for Bardic and A&S champions. It frequently features the championships for armored, archery, and rapier martial arts.
This year’s event is themed on the Norns. The Norns are deities in Norse Mythology that are responsible for the course of human destinies. They are often depicted as three feminine entities. It has been said that they tend to Yggdrasil and bring water to the roots. It has also been said that they see the cords of all beings and see their fates. Another depiction of The Norns is that they represent Past, Present, and Future.

Featured activities include Carraig Ban’s Annual and Very Respectable Pillow Fight Tourney. The Carraig Ban Courtesans will host gaming and food.
SATURDAY
Join us in person for a day of fencing, fighting, classes, and all the rest. Compete to be the new A&S Champion, see your friends, and sing until the night takes you.

SUNDAY
Sunday will be open for friendly conversation, lost and found, and clean-up. Please lend a hand if you are able!
